The GI Film Festival (GIFF) is a 501 c(3) non-profit educational organization dedicated to sharing the military experience in and out of the arena of war. The festival is the first in the nation to exclusively celebrate the successes and sacrifices of the service member through the medium of film.

Description
'Battle Scars' Synopsis: Luke Stephens (Zane Holtz) shows up on his brother Nicky (Ryan Eggold)’s doorstep after a tour in Afghanistan. Suffering from both P.T.S.D. and physical wounds, Luke wants nothing more than to forget the war, but his veteran father (David James Elliott) won’t let him. At a gentleman’s club, run by a ruthless killer (Fairuza Balk), Luke crosses paths with Michelle (Heather McComb) who leads him into turbulent world every bit as dangerous and isolating as the brutality Luke so desperately tried to leave behind in Afghanistan.
